Throughout his PGA of Canada membership, Carter Bennett has been a dedicated golf professional and is now an emerging golf coach. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Psychology, where his main focus was in sport psychology. This inspired him to work with golfers to improve their games through a holistic approach. Alongside his education, Carter has multiple certifications geared toward youth athletic development, including Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). This has allowed Carter to gain a deeper understanding of performance, movement patterns, learning, and development, which molds his coaching philosophy.
Carter has several years of experience directing youth sport camps, and in more recent years, has been an assistant professional at high end golf facilities, including Weston, Markland Woods, and the Toronto Golf Club. He has worked with Juniors of all levels while coaching with Golf Performance Coaches, Weston Golf Development Teams, and the York Regional Golf Team.
Carter is also an experienced club fitter and builder. His expertise in this area can allow him to assess a player’s equipment, and find where adjustments or improvements can be made to optimize their performance.
Carter continues to pursue opportunities that will develop his knowledge and coaching philosophy, in hopes to help more people play better golf.
